Sushi on a stick.
So tonight we went out for Cheap Chinese Buffet food.

We tried a new place (for my Houston readers, Kingsway Buffet, Beltway 8 and Beechnut, reviewed here). It was quite good. But this isn't about dinner tonight, it's about the last time we did dinner at a Chinese buffet.

We went to the Lucky Village out on Westheimer, because it had been pretty good the last time we'd been there.

They'd added a sushi buffet, with tuna and salmon and such. But the terrifying part was the Sushi On A Stick. Yes, they'd taken all the random odd cuts of tuna, stuck them on bamboo skewers, and put them on a tray next to the sushi. Of course, I had to try them. And it wasn't bad tuna, really, besides having obvious been frozen.

But when I think of things that are just Incredibly Wrong, Sushi On A Stick has to be in the top 10.

May I propose another item for the list of Things That Are Just Incredibly Wrong: non-sweet flavors of ice cream: coffee, jalepeno, etc.

I'm not sure I agree with you. I've had some really wonderful ginger ice cream, and some good red bean....

(BTW, I have new ginger Altoids in my pocket. Stop by my office to try one, if you want)
