Weekend! - Tina Marie's Ramblings
Red hair and black leather, my favorite colour scheme...
Despite the thunderstorms in Houston, I managed to fly 2.5 hours of IFR dual this weekend. I'm really struggling with holds, and an hour with FlightSim last night told me why: I'm having trouble looking at the VOR head and instantly figuring out which way I need to turn to intercept. I get all wrapped up in "From" and "To" and forward-sensing and reverse-sensing...

As penance, I plan to spend an hour every night this week flying holds until I get them right.

I'm discouraged. This is why it's taken so long to get this done - I keep getting stuck on this sort of thing, and I get frustrated. But I've got to get it done this time.

In other news:

  • I've now got 30 LJ support points, and L1 g/unk privs.

  • Work's been hectic but fulfilling. I'm finally accomplishing something, and it feels good.

  • My futon is here - now I just have to clean enough of the living room to get the old couch out so I can put together the new one.

  • Tonight's goal, besides my hour of holds: I'm finally going to catch up on all the unfolded clean laundry in my bedroom.

Current Mood: sleepy sleepy

Unfolded laundry?

What, you don't use the tumble dryer as your clothes cupboard?

A friend of a friend (FOAF) has apparently installed two dishwashers to get rid of the chore of emptying the dishwasher. Put a load in one, use the utensils out of it, putting them in the other. Eventually DW #1 is empty, DW #2 is full, run DW #2, rinse, repeat...

Re: Unfolded laundry?

I do, but sometimes I do two loads at once, and then the first load has to go somewhere, or the second load goes moldy in the washer.
