Delivery....
Okay, Tina's dilemma of the weekend:

Poll #256219 Delivery Food question

Delivery guy shows up at your door with the wrong food. You don't realize it until after he's left. Do you:

Call them and complain and ask to have it fixed.

Shrug your shoulders and eat what they brought you.

Does it matter if what you got was cheaper then what you ordered?

I've always just eaten what I've gotten. But twice now I've had restaurants yell at me about this - told me I should have called and returned it. I was particularly annoyed last night when we ordered $25 of Chinese, only to get 2 containers of fried rice and 2 egg rolls. Then they called me and complained that I'd just eaten it instead of returning it.

Am I nuts?

It depends on a lot of factors.

1. Did I get less than I paid for?
2. Do I like what they brought?
3. How hungry am I?
4. Have I ever had this problem with the restaurant before?
5. If this happened before, what was the response if and when I called.
6. How long will it take to correct the problem.

Generally, if it's something I like, eaqual or greater than what I ordered, and I'm hungry, I shrug my shoulders and chow down.

When I'm hungry, I'm hungry NOW! I can't be bothered to wait an additional 20-30-45 for them to straighten their fuck up.
I'd prob tell them that they screwed up and I'm going to eat what they gave, but I'd like the rest of my order.
Don't fuck with a food deprived woman.

I used to work at a pizza place and if someone called us back, we'd offer them a credit not just the difference, but also something to make up for the trouble, and we'd ask if they wanted to keep what they got or if they'd like the correct order and if they wanted it replaced, we'd get it out as far as possible, if it was something simple like a large cheese we'd just steal it from the oven and send it right out. If we could figure out where the wrong order had gone or was going, we'd give them a call before the delivery critter even got there and give them the same options.

It sounds like that place was going to take the food back and then send it on to its proper destination. That's really bad. Even worse for Chinese because it doesn't travel as well if it has any veggies in it.
