Random updates. - Tina Marie's Ramblings

Random updates.
I actually made progress on the bike this weekend. The headlight housing is on, the forks are entirely back together, and now I'm on to the handlebars. The new brake reservoir needs filled and bled. I have one of the vacuum tools, so the plan is to put fluid in the reservoir, fill the line from the top as best I can, then attach the bottom of the line to the brakes, then bleed it. The new throttle is assembled, and everything just needs put back on the new bars.

I suspect the battery is dead, and I'm hoping that sitting this long hasn't gummed up the carbs. I don't want to pull them if I don't have to.

The Tripacer is being annualed (the spell checker wants to change that to "annealed"). It's nearly done - just waiting on me to come finish the strut AD, and the mechanic is waiting on the VSI/altimeter to come back from being overhauled.

Dinner for tomorrow: Spaghetti Squash Latkes. We like latkes, and we like spaghetti squash, so I can't resist trying it.

If the gumming up is not too bad you might be able to get away with carefully pouring the local equivalent to RedEx down the carbs with the engine running (so it sucks the stuff through). Basically, if the varnishing isn't too bad it'll dissolve it.
