My first big motorcycle ride...
The airport crowd decided to go off on a long bike ride this weekend. We did 200 miles, around the north side of town, through the Sam Houston National Forest. It was wonderful weather for a ride. There were 9 of us, on 6 bikes - 3 Harleys, 2 Valkyries, and my Buell.

Everybody gathered at the airport. The weather was dreary in the morning, but it cleared up to be beautiful - sunny and nearly 80. A perfect spring day in Texas.

The Harley that didn't start. The battery was dead, and the dealership didn't open until noon, so he met up with us halfway through.

Lunch in Coldsprings, Texas. We stopped at a little diner - typical southern comfort food.

We met up with Dru in Richards, TX. The gas station turned out not to be a gas station. With 2 bikes that only got 100 miles to the tank, we spent a lot of time stopping for gas.

And the final stop was my first visit to a biker bar. Hundreds of bikes, although besides one Suzuki, mine was the closest thing to a sport bike in the lot.

Decisions decisions. This year: hang glider or motorbike? Hang glider or motorbike... can't make up my mind!

I've gotten a lot more attached to the bike then I thought I would...of course, having a group to ride with really helps.
