I'm blaming ptomblin, since he's the only one I know with recurring iPod issues.

My mini has been fine since I bought it. No problems at all. Yesterday, I listened to it all day, came home, updated it fine, and put it in my bag to take to the gym. I took it out of the bag this morning, plugged in the headsets - and nothing. I pushed buttons - more nothing.

Much internal cursing ensued. When I got home from the gym, I looked on the Apple support page, and tried to reset it. No Apple logo, no matter how many times I tried. So I went to the next step, and plugged it into my USB port. No better luck.

I called Apple, who reassured me they'd replace it if it was dead, and gave me the URL to request a box (overnighted!).

I <heart> Apple.

...And my iPod. I have spare keys, but I really, really miss the iPod already.

I didn't make it out of San Francisco non-rev - all the flights were overbooked, and after getting bumped 3 times, I just came home on Southwest. It meant I got to spend an extra day there, anyway.

Michael and his student flew over to pick me up - I saw them taxiing to parking as we were touching down. I got back to Weiser and realized I'd left my keys in the back seat of the airplane. Michael had my spare car and apartment keys, but I don't have a spare office key, so I'm going to have to get let into my office for the next week.

But it's sort of nice to be home.
