Those hives I had a few months ago? They came back Saturday night. I took Benadryl every 4 hours until 8am this morning, when I headed to the local urgent care center. Once again, they gave me IV Benadryl and steroids, kept me an hour, then sent me home.

Most of them are gone now, but I'm still sleepy and achy. Guess I'm going to have to go find an allergist.

The few hives I had last night turned into "hives over more then 50% of my body". I couldn't sleep because I was itching so bad. When my left eye swelled shut at 4am, after enough Benadryl to kill a horse, I decided it was time for a visit to the ER.

I've been the this ER before, and this time I was smart: I took a book.

After 5 hours, tons of steroids, and a bunch more Benadryl, at least it isn't getting any worse.

I have no clue what I got into. I've never been allergic to anything in my life....

This is not a good way to start the new year.
