I got one of those most-dreaded phone calls this morning: My ex was killed in a motorcycle crash last night. From the local paper:
Two Michigan men were killed after a motorcycle and car crashed last night in Berrien County.

Police say 52-year-old Dowagiac resident Elester Williams was driving his car north on Hochberger Road and may have disregarded a stop sign and hit 40-year-old motorcycle driver Michael Masterov of Eau Claire who was headed east on Naomi Road. The accident is still under investigation.

There's not much practical I can do. His family is in New Jersey, and his fiance is in Michigan, so I'm too far away from either of those places to be practically helpful.

I'm still organizing thoughts for a letter (actually, two of them), but I'll take you up on that when I get a better idea of what all I want to say.
