Aw, come on, there's also infomercials, sports news, megachurch services, Teltubbies, bass fishing, sports highlights, Rachael Ray, sports reruns, that hard-looking broad reminding you to lock up your valuables and not let strangers in the room, sports talk, the local public TV telethon, and the Hitler Channel. What else do you need?

Has there ever been a bombing caused by someone carrying on a bag given them by a stranger?

Well, there was that incident in the nineties (eighties?) where someone talked that Irish woman into packing a couple of wine bottles full of something like nitromethane into her baggage, and she got busted. That's what started the business of the check-in people asking if you packed your own bag and if anybody gave you something.

You can be sure that every 9/11 sumbitch was asked those questions - I hope whoever asked is having the tab for their therapy picked up - and that they answered "No," and that they were the truest words ever spoken.

Of all those options, Frasier was the best. This was a Motel 6, so it didn't have any custom hotel channels, and no history channel or Food Network. Eventually I found a channel showing "Law And Order", "Without A Trace", and other vaguely CSI-type shows, about 5 hours worth, which I half-watched while surfing the net on the iPhone.

When I was living in the UK, an English woman about to board a plane was discovered to have a bomb in her suitcase. The bomb was in a "present" that had been given to her by her Muslim boyfriend to take to her in-laws.

No one's ever checked my electronic devices work - my laptop and digital camera or video camera go through without being turned on once. I've even taken a keyboard (music keyboard) on a flight and no one asked about it (they thought it was golf clubs!)
