Things.
Dylan went home yesterday. My nook looks empty without him and the laptop in it.

I'm taking a bit of a break from house stuff. I did a big push to get everything done for the housewarming party a week ago, and now I seem perfectly content to just deal with boxes for a few weeks. I got my approval letter for the windows, so I need to talk to Lenny about them this weekend.

I got a letter from the IRS yesterday, wanting $5K in back taxes from 2004. Seems Bindview reported some stock income in two places, or at least that's what happened to the co-workers who got similar letters. It's going to be a hassle to fix, I suspect.

A Tale In The Desert restarted. I'm getting settled in, on a wonderful ridge overlooking the Nile. I've never played a game that felt so much like home - it's been incredible to run around Egypt and say hi to all the people I remember from the first telling. I'm trying to take it slow and relax and not burn out.

I need sleep.

Current Mood: exhausted exhausted

Well, I got home OK, but my luggage didn't (fortunately, the important stuff like my laptop and cables - one of those cables I normally use for my (piano, not computer) keyboard audio out, the one I was using for audio to the TV - were in my hand luggage). I've taken loads of pictures for SMITE (Slashdot Moment In TimE). All my plants survived my absence, although one of the fuchsias got blown off the chimney pot that normally houses it and was looking sorry for itself, but it perked up with a bit of watering and sunlight. The clematis isn't looking happy though, insects have been chowing down on it. The apple tree I planted though is vigorous - it has blossom. The roses even look healthy (normally they are the insects first choice for ravaging). The kittens are vigorous too, I think I'll be weaning one of them in the next couple of days and the rest within the week.

Still haven't heard from BA about my luggage so I'll pester them on my way to the hardware store tomorrow since the airport is on the way.

There have not been nearly enough kitten pictures in your blog lately.

Wow. ATID has both Linux and Mac clients. I'm half tempted to sign up just to support someone who is willing to make a Linux client!
