It was a productive weekend - I went couch shopping (found one I loved, but I'm still deciding if it's too big for my living room), did some approaches with Jim, flew the Tripacer and changed the oil, and ordered my blinds.

And I finally went grocery shopping. In preparation for moving, I spent a month eating all the stuff in my kitchen. I sent all the canned goods home with Michael, and everything left in the fridge got tossed when I moved, so I haven't had much of anything to eat in the house. Last night I fixed that. $150 later, my fridge and freezer and pantry are full.

Progress is being made.

Have you started shopping for supplies for PJY yet?

I don't have much shopping to do. I have a tent and air mattress and all that. I need to pick up an extra air mattress for Michael, but that's probably all I need this year.

Oh, and I'll probably bring John some local beer. But that can all happen next weekend.

Looking forward to meeting you!

I'm going to see if I can pick up some Ithaca Ale for local flavour (no, I won't subject anybody to Genny Cream Ale). And to justify bringing the Lance instead of something cheaper.

I have to dig out my tent - I think it might have gotten mildewed after Oshkosh 2003.

It's going to be good to meet everybody, although I'm scared they'll all hate me for my left wing politics. Hopefully we'll get to the drinking before the politics.

People always seem a lot more laid back in person then they do on the 'net.

And the drinking starts as soon as people stop flying. Given the usual weather, that's usually pretty early.

I should take a gander at the tent, but I usually put it up and throw a coat of waterproofing on it in the hanger the weekend before.

I have no room to talk about bringing airplanes. There will be somewhere between 2 (me and Dylan) and 4 (me, Dylan, Michael, and Mike) of us coming, and we're bringing a minimum of the Tripacer and the Twinkie. There's also the possibility of a Bonanza.

(oh, yeah, I should wash the Tripacer, too...)

Now that would be a fun low-level downwind pass.
1 Bonanza
1 Twinkie
1...erm...Tripacer :-) Bringing up the rear I guess.

Ah, Michael can slow down the twin a lot. I watched him fly formation on a 150 a few years ago...

I think JRJ himself is definitely left of centre.

I'll try and remember to bring some Manx beers. Oh yes, PJY will also be a mini-BOFHcon I guess...

Sigh, it's one of those days.

You know it's one of those days when you misread that as "I went crotch shopping".

Re: Sigh, it's one of those days.

For me, that may have been a better interpretation. :)
