Hooray!

That's great! Hope everything comes out OK!

And if you think you're scared now, wait until you close escrow and realize you're N-thousand dollars in debt! ;-)

You know what a house is?

It's an excuse to BUY MORE POWER TOOLS!!!

I like the way you think. The only trouble is that it will be a few months before I can afford new power tools. :)

I hate to tell you, but I think you're going to miss out on the fun. If I close the end of March, I'll be moved by the end of April, so by the time you show up in May, the furniture will all be arranged. If you're too disappointed, we could move all the furniture to one side of the living room, then back, just so you don't feel left out.

That is so cool. I can remember that buying a house made me feel like I was finally a "grownup".

That's one of the things that scares me. :)

I didn't say that it made me feel mature!

And I went out and looked at the average selling price of houses in our neighborhood recently. In less than 10 years, the value of our home has increased by about 50k. That's not too shabby.

I think you'll really enjoy your new home. Congrats!

When I bought my first house I found it was helpful to call the people involved (mortgage broker, real estate agent, insurance people) every now and then to make sure that everything was flowing smoothly, and in fact I found that one party hadn't sent another party the proper paperwork. If I hadn't made that 'Hey, how's it going?' call my closing would have been delayed.

That being said, home ownership rocks.
