I've been hanging out all weekend. There's been a bit of cooking, a bit of movie watching (Quills, which I loved, and some Dr. Who, which I remember being funnier), massive amounts of laundry...

And the acquistion of a real estate agent. Yes, I'm buying a house. A townhouse, really. I've been talking about it for a long time, but the budget is worked out, the down payment is in the bank, my lease is up in May, and the time has come to get serious about it.

I've got an appointment to go look at the first batch on Saturday morning. I need to think about how I'm going to organize this process - I need to store info, pictures, notes....I'm actually thinking a looseleaf notebook would be the easiest answer, if a bit low tech.

Wish me luck.

Too much work!

Oh, I never bothered being actually organized when I bought mine. I had a look around a few random places that were for sale that I could afford 'till I found one I liked for the right price, then put an offer in (it was slightly badly timed though, because I was going away the day after I saw the house, so my Dad helped me out by dealing with the estate agent while I was away).

It's like buying a plane - rationality goes out the window.

Hello I thought I would say hi and see if it would be ok to add you as a friend. I see you in the aviation and motorcycle communities every once in a while and I saw you are also a friend of planegirl. Seems you like anything with a motor on it like me ;)
