The cornbread was absolutely incredible. The hot oil made the edges all crunchy. It might have been improved by 3 minutes less in the oven, but it was still incredible.

The salsa I put in the chili made it awfully hot. I'm thinking that I'll take the rest of it, cut up the meat a bit smaller, and stick it in ravioli, and just toss them with a bit of sour cream.

I need to live somewhere where the weather is like this all the time - I always feel like cooking when it cools off.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

I will be making the annual First Pot of Chili on Halloween. It's a tradition. Along with my nearly-famous cornbread. It's the one fucking recipe from my Mother-in-law that actually turns out like it's supposed to. It's a family joke that she gives a recipe, but always "forgets" to tell you just one thing. Feh.

Mmmmmmmm, cornbread and chili. Yay, cool weather. And Halloween goodness and stuff.

I read that as 'The cornbread was absolutely inedible' the first time around!

I'm a TERRIBLE cook. I can do road kill chili quite well, but forget the complex stuff. If I had been writing this it would have been 'inedible'.
